Penny auctions are about as common as pennies these days! There are so many different websites to choose from. However, when choosing a penny auction site, you need to be very cautious due to the increasing number of illegit websites currently out there which are just out to take your money.

Deal Dash is one of many penny auction websites.  They offer hundreds of different items to bid on which range from HD-TVS all the way to solar lanterns. A massive positive is the fact that Deal Dash has NO MEMBERSHIP FEE – this is a welcome feature because many penny auction sites require you to pay before you sign up, this is not the case with dealdash. They also have a new feature called No Jumper auctions, which is designed to assist the serious bidders.

As always there are a few precautions to look into before registering on any website. This is a quick review on several important factors to consider. One of the most important things to consider is to view their privacy policy thoroughly. Also, consider how and when they ship items that you’ve won, including shipping and handling charges. You may even want to check how easy the site is to use, and what kind of items their auctions have to bid on. Customer service is a very important factor to consider. If you aren’t happy with something, customer service is where you go in hopes to get that problem fixed. If  the customer service isn’t reliable, then tread very carefully. One other important factor is the cost per bid. Below we have researched and reviewed all those topics for you, and put them into a neat and easy to read review.

Deal Dash has a very good interface that is easy to use and very user-friendly, they have six tabs on their home page. They also have ten pages with auctions that are ending soon. Everything is layed out nicely. There is a also FAQ section that is great for answering all of your questions.

The ‘How does it work’ section is a good way for new users to learn how to use the site and how to bid at penny auctions. There is a short video clip to explain exactly how each feature works, and underneath it sums everything up in three steps; every auction starts at 0.00 and goes up one penny at a time, if you are the last bidder to bid before time runs out -you win, when you win you buy the item for anywhere from 60-99% off.

Items To Bid On

Deal Dash has many different types of items to bid on. Some penny auction sites only offer electronics as their primary source of items. Deal dash has items such as; iPads, picnic tables, cooler bags, camera bags, guitars, fireplaces…there are endless amount of items to bid on. They also carry gift cards for various gas stations, Starbucks, TJ Max, Target, and many more. You can even buy a pack of bids.

Once you win an item just go to “My dashboard”, and “Won auction” to pay for your win. Then, pay the final auction price and they will send your item within 10 days, for free -no shipping fees. All of the products sold there are brand new and come with a standard manufacturer warranty. This is a great thing to keep in mind!

You can register at any time with Deal Dash, and its free. You may also cancel anytime by closing your account down. One thing to take into serious consideration before you register with Deal dash is to look at their “use of data” section where they state what they do with the data that you provide them. It says anything from troubleshooting problems to targeted marketing. When you register you will also be added to their mailing list, which you can opt out of at anytime. It will also collect information related to what you search and when you participate in a contest, questionnaire, or communicate with their customer support.

We have tested Dealdash for the past 5 months and we came across no security issues. Everything was very legit, we won a few lower value items (including a dog house) which we received within 2 weeks and a few gift cards which also arrived in good time. We paid for bids via card and paypal and had no issues with either payment service.

Recently they have added a new feature which is called  “no jumper auctions.”  We found this feature to be a real game changer because many auctions are won or lost by new bidders coming in late. Bidders cannot enter an auction after it reaches five dollars. This is so that you do not have to compete with new bidders that try to jump in last minute.

This greatly increases your chances of winning because you are simply competing against a much lower number of bidders.

Here is what dealdash has said about their no jumpers feature:

“No Jumper™ auctions is a new type of auction that makes winning easier. The big difference between No Jumper™ auctions and normal auctions is that new bidders can’t enter the auction after $5.00. This means you won’t have to compete with users that didn’t bid in the auction from the start, before the price reached $5.00.”

No Jumper™ auctions is a new type of auction that makes winning easier. The big difference between No Jumper™ auctions and normal auctions is that new bidders can’t enter the auction after $5.00. This means you won’t have to compete with users that didn’t bid in the auction from the start, before the price reached $5.00.

Dealdash also features the ‘buy it now’ option which is a feature that we are starting to see more often on penny auction sites. Basically how it works is if you start bidding on an item and you don’t win, you have the ability to buy the item for its RRP and get all the bids that you placed in the auction back for free. You can then use those bids on another item and repeat the process.

More on this feature can be found on our buy it now page.

*Note* Although many penny auction sites will state a RRP price, we found that the majority of the prices can be much higher then you would find in a high street store. However the difference usually isn’t higher then 10-20%.

Cost Per Bids

Every bid usually costs $0.60 cents, although this can sometimes be much less as they advertise bid discount deals fairly often. $0.60 is lower then the average penny auction bid price, we found that combined with the discount deals that dealdash regularly offer, the savings you get on Dealdash makes their pricing very competitive.

Deal Dash will send your item within 10 days after winning, and there is no FEE for shipping. This is another big bonus as nearly every other penny auction site has shipping and handling fees in one form or another. The waiting time is usually 1-4 weeks depending on the item. We didn’t win many large items on Dealdash, however every item arrived within 2 weeks. You can also track the status of your order on the “won auctions” page.

Customer Service

The customer support on Dealdash is generally pretty good, with live chat and email support systems currently in place should you have a problem. Having said that, there is no telephone support and the live chat can be off-line quite often. This can be frustrating if you had an issue with your order, because the only way to contact dealdash is through email which usually gets a response within 24 hours, however far from instant. We didn’t have any issues with the items we won or have any payment issues, so our need for support wasn’t urgent. However we haven’t found many complaints about lack of customer service on Dealdash.
Over all we feel is a great penny auction site. Many of its users are extremely happy with their services. Factors such as free registration – with no membership fee, no jumper auctions, and free shipping are just a handful of great features that this penny auction site has to offer you. We found that the ease of winning items is far greater then other websites due to the no jumper auctions. is highly recommended for anyone that is new to penny auctions, and the more experienced bidders will love the unique features that dealdash has to offer.

Others that have had success with dealdash:

WOW WOW WOW!!!!!!! I won this HD 24″ Tashiba combo with a DVD player on side on DEALDASH.COM for ONLY $0.01 and the cost of this TV on this website was priced for $265.00. Oh yeah did I mention that it’s White too? It is. WOW WOW WOW HAPPY SOUTHERN REBEL HERE.

Dealdash is my favourite penny auction site by far.

I completely agree on the no jumpers feature, this feature alone puts dealdash way above the rest.

I can’t count the amount of times I’ve lost an auction where I’ve been bidding against someone and I finally beat him only for a new bidder to arrive, its incredibly frustrating.

With the no jumpers feature, this doesn’t happy nearly as much.

    My 2 cents.
